Several provinces in Indonesia have officially announced the increase of the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for 2025 by 6.5%.

This decision was made based on the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024, which governs the annual minimum wage determination. On December 11, 2024, governors in each province finalized the latest UMP figures.

Following this, a week after the UMP announcement, the District/City Minimum Wage (UMK) will also be announced on December 18, 2024. This salary increase percentage is expected to help Indonesian employees amidst financial challenges in the modern era.
